It is on Friday the 22nd of February as I am writing this…
Hi welcome to my blog, I’ll be sharing a film review with you 🙋🏾
I just came back from watching The Lego Movie 2, I haven’t watched the first one but I thought I’d see this one. Originally, I was going to watch On The Basis Of Sex but I changed my mind. I wanted to watch something funny and light-hearted. I definitely got what I asked for and I’m grateful I went to watch it. It is a Fantasy/Science-Fiction film (and everything makes sense..)
The film has been out since the beginning of February. It has two main characters – Lisa and Emmet. They got separated so the whole film was about trying to get them two back to together. They went through a series of trials, with surprise features from superhero characters – Batman & Superman to help along the way. It has mild violence but however, it is fairly suitable for children.
The plot has more depth than what I have gone into. I don’t want to go into too much detail, so it’s better to go watch the actual film. It involves other Lego characters and the children who play with the toys when they are ‘inactive’. The Lego Movie is shot from the Lego characters’ angle, but at certain points, they do show it from the children’s perspective (a brother and sister playing with the Lego figures and blocks). You’ll see both sides and their mother too.
More film reviews:
Although I haven’t watched the first one, I can see why their production company made a second one because it is a simple plot and it’s easy to catch on. They were showing how to make it out of difficult situations, as well as providing entertainment for the audience. It has its funny moments which would make you laugh out loud. Also, what else I liked about it was it is appropriate for all ages. The songs included was catchy because it made me want to move slightly.
Overall, I’d agree it is a great film to go and see, I found it funny maybe its because I like silly voices and kid films, for example, The Disney Movies from time to time. The songs featured were upbeat and cheerful, which added to the experience. It was soothing and made you engaged while watching. I’d suggest booking a viewing time in the evening because there are fewer people in the cinema screening. It allows you to have space. Also, shop around to compare prices of different cinemas so you can find the best option for you.
You might just save more money for snacks + drinks😉
The film is available to watch at most cinemas and in 3D too🎥
Until the next post, I’ll see you soon 😚
