The Birds And The Breeze πŸ₯🌬

You couldn’t give that a miss

Emphasising all the minor bits

Putting cocoa butter on the lips

Taking and breaking things apart

Surely included in the mix

Changing parts that needs a fix

Don’t forget to silence the mental diss

Waking up after a dream,

To a morning of rain all it seems

The sun isn’t shining so bright,

The noise of rain distributing light

That’s a new day starting in sight

Bedtime Burrito πŸŒ―πŸ›Œ

A short story about the time in bed…

In the bed, you’re the stuffing..

It’s just a bit past midnight and wrapped up in the bed covers like a burrito that’s been left un-fed. You lay on your back and stare to the ceiling. The silence in the air fills the space in.

It’s time to read a book or play on phone. One of the times in the day you spend alone. You could dream about eating a ice cream cone or something you adore more. If you’re up too late, you begin to feel a yawn.

You find a position to sleep in. On your back, front or side, whatever you decide; just hope your body won’t mind. A static placement entwined to help on the R.E.M. ride. All minimal distractions settle the mental fine.

It’s at the point you drift off without a thought. The hours pass retaining the residual heat from the overnight stay. In between the sheets, that’s a way to keep the warmth in. Feel it up like you’re floating in the sky.

Until the next morning rise… πŸŒ…

The process called the bedtime burrito roll ☺️

DIY Nail Extensions: Sparkly Orange πŸŠβœ¨

New video, new nail teaser😍

Not long ago, I got glitter powder for nails. I think glitter has become a popular choice these days. It can just jazz up any scenery and make it look shiny. Also, I used orange nail polish for base colour.

I’ve added extension tips. One thing I’ve noticed is ultraform tips are not the strongest type of false nails you should use. They tend to break quite easily and it doesn’t fit all nail shapes too. Hopefully, testing out different tip brands and maybe a new glue will improve the strength and duration of false nails.

The whole process is a experiment with the hands. You get to understand how your hand feels and guide yourself on knowing how to manage it. You become more aware of yourself and realise how it feels. It gives you the ability to hyper focus on that part of your body. This is great for people, who suffer from anxiety, disassociation. As it exposes you to sensory stimulation, which helps calm the mind and stay present in the moment.

Has anyone else realised your left hand goes more according to plan than your right? Let me know in the comments below πŸ‘‡πŸΎπŸ’…πŸΎ

The Time Lessonβ°πŸ“•

www.chandademi.comTime is a lesson

When you were young

You were only messing

Situations come in for testing

Give time for you to get a rest in

Creating a space for a little nesting

Playing around on YouTube

That involves video requesting

Smooth voices soothes bodily things

The consequence good music brings

Singing along so it releases the sting

Remember you are more than just a thing

#BookReview : Another Day πŸ“š

Hello,

I haven’t done a book review since last year, so I’ve returned this year with the latest piece of literature I’ve read. It’s a book called Another Day by David Levithan. There’s also a second part to it, which hopefully I intend to read.

Let’s get started..

This has to be one of the strangest books I’ve read, mainly because there is so many situations going on at once. It is set in America, focussing on two main characters Rhiannon and Justin, who are in a long term relationship. However, not everything is what it seems. They have intimacy issues, as Justin doesn’t know how to express and allow himself to be vulnerable. She feels she’s the only one who can keep their union going. Therefore she does everything she can, even though being with him is in comparison talking to a brick wall.

In the beginning of the story, after school they go for a long drive to their local beach for relaxation time, but after sharing a nice evening together. Justin drops a bombshell saying “don’t expect me to be like this after today” . This comes as a shock, because it implies he finds it hard to maintain a positive outlook on life. It makes Rhiannon struggles to keep them afloat, because the effort is only one sided. She wishes to believe he can love her in the way she wants. In reality, it’s far from impossible because there are emotional blockages.

In the middle, they go to a house party with their friends to celebrate and have fun. The couple continue to hold the image of being the ‘normal average’ couple. It’s more that Rhiannon wishes to keep their issues private, because she knows deep down he is no good for her.  You overlook certain aspects of your other half, when you love them because you would like to keep things as they are. It is familiar territory to you, so you don’t necessarily want to jeopardise it. However, in a turn of events (the irony LOL), she meets someone at this party and exchanges details. They share email addresses, but seeing as she’s drunk. The evening becomes a major blur, so she does not pay attention that night.

Due to her problems with Justin, she starts communicating with A through email. I think A provided her with the intimacy she was lacking with Justin. Or at least, ‘he’ was helping her to fill a void. However, she doesn’t acknowledge or understand who she’s communicating with. So, we come to acknowledge mystery person ‘A’ has identity issues. He comes to her in a different ‘body/person’ every time they meet up, which leaves her feeling confused over their situation. This all occurs, whilst the breakdown of her current relationship comes crashing down.

I don’t want to reveal all in this review, but I’d suggest reading the book, so you can put your imagination at rest and have the blanks filled in around the concept I’ve set out in this post.

The book ends on a cliffhanger, I was shocked because I wanted the book to finish with a concrete conclusion. It seems that I’ll have to read the other book to this one, which is called Every Day. Maybe it will show the story from another perspective, as this one side of the story. I would say it’s more intriguing the way the author has left it, because it gives you no other option but to stayed tuned and buy the second book. The plot is relatable, because many girls go through cases where they are in the same position as Rhiannon, so they can identify with her and the problems she’s facing.

Another possibility could be that I’ve read the stories the wrong way round, that’s why everything seems up in the air LOL, but who knows..

The book is available at WHSmith for Β£7.99 or visit your local bookstore and request it at the till

Thank you for reading this review πŸ™‚

#Photography: Canary Wharf πŸŒƒβ„️

A branch out to the unknown for a change. So originally, I thought I’d be able to see Canary Wharf from the river side point of view. That was not the case, I was told the area is actually surrounded by water. However, I turned the disappointment into a positive, by asking where I could see parts of the water. This led me to be able to take some photographs, which I’d like to share in this post.

Here are the photographs from yesterday night:

I hope you enjoyed viewing themπŸŒƒπŸ“Έ

What is? πŸ‘πŸ”

What is?

What’s it all about?

Looking into the future

The mind sorts it out

Unknown circumstance causes fright

Dwelling in the present brings delight

If only you do it ‘right’

Everything quiets down

You’ll both settle down like the night

#Photography: Barbican Strolling πŸšΆπŸΎπŸ’¦

It’s the winter months, so every time I see sun. We don’t get much of it, so it’s basically similar to finding treasure LOL. It gives me the urge to go outside and take some more photographs. I took a trip to the Barbican centre, as they had a water feature in the middle. I didn’t know if I could get in because it’s Boxing Day, but I trusted my instincts and a way came (long story so I won’t get into it lol).

Anyways here’s a selected few of the pictures taken:

I hope you enjoy looking at the photosπŸ‘

A Light Morning Touch πŸ˜πŸŒ¬

Short poem inspired by the morning air breeze

Cold air brushing against the skin

The breeze could feel like a new thing

Light velvet feathering upon him

You leave the window open

That’s how the chill gets in

Laying on your stomach

A time for bedtime flexing

Falling asleep while the air gets work in

DIY Nails: Nail Extensions with Two Colour DesignπŸ’œπŸ’›

Heyy, guess who’s back with another nail video!😍

I’d thought I’d share the finished product with you guys, because this is the first time I’ve added extension tips to my natural nail bed.Β The whole process was a little bit messy but I’m guessing that’s because I’m newly starting out. Hopefully as time goes on, it will get better and will improve.

As usual, I’ve used gel top coat finish with normal nail polish from the Rimmel London (Berries and Cream, which is the purple colour) and Gabrini collection (the Gold colour)

It’s good to experiment with shades and tones of one colour. I would positively reinforce using one or more, it works even better if you’re indecisive about which one to use. This means you have the comfort of knowing you can just use as many as you want.

If you’d like your nails to have length, add extension tips. It gives a larger surface area to work with, similar to when starting art on a blank canvas. Especially, being use to natural nails, sometimes you just wish to switch up your look; so why not start with your nails and the rest will follow..

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day☺️
