It’s Sunday afternoon and I’d like to share 5 tips that I’ve come up with this week. It’s for everyday use; you may want to incorporate into your daily lives. Hopefully it will of some help to you to make things easier.
It’s random, because it can just appear at any moment. These are the one I’ve found below👇🏾
Health: Nuts are good for the digestive system. They are gut cleaners. Tropical mix, it’s the packet with different types of nuts and fruits or any other you fancy/like.
Finance: Get your contactless to stop working, so then you’re forced to spend less money. Say no to spontaneous taps here and there. Preferably, take out cash when you can. It will make you less inclined to use your card, as it’s physical rather than something you can’t see.
Food Experimentation: This is something I tried yesterday and this morning. If you usually follow a strict way of making something. Figure out another way you can make it and see how it comes out. You might discover you like it that way and then you can add & subtract how and what you do with it.
Massage Therapy DIY: Give yourself a back massage and stretch in the morning. It releases all your pressure points.
Exercise: If you don’t like gym cardio, incorporate walking into your routine.
Previously, I’ve written two posts on this matter, check them out:
This post was written on the 22nd February: I’ll be referring to the events from that date.
The dialogue:
You know when you mix up dates, so you convert your plans into a productive session. I wish I had the canon with me, but these photos were unexpectedly taken. The professional camera would of given me clearer shots. Oh well, maybe next time I can get some good shots on my next trip.
It wasn’t too cold tonight. It was a bit breezy, but nothing you can’t handle without a warm coat and winter accessories (scarf, gloves + hat). We’re coming to the end of February, so March is round the corner.
I hear Spring calling, that means more sun, and also the occasionally sprouts of rain to deal with it. Rain and sun go together; it’s nice when it forms a rainbow. Other than that, you can enjoy it from where ever you are in the world.
Art attack splash is the name of this design. It came to me during the day yesterday and I thought it would be perfect for it. I started off with purple and orange, deciding to jazz up the colour by mixing it with black and white dots. I didn’t have a finite idea in my mind, so I went with it as it went along. Obviously, I had to remember what colors worked well together in order for it to stay pleasurable to the eye.
For this look, I used a nail art tool. It had an end like a ball tip pen and that’s what made the dots. You really get engrossed with the design whilst doing it. You are focussed on getting the dots in the right places and figuring out where to place them on the nail bed. This encourages you to explore further into what you are doing and how to expand beyond what you expected.
Another secret I’d share with you guys, this is first time I did complete acrylic nails at home. Kiss sells an acrylic nail kit which you can use at home. In the packet, it has the powder and solution to make the paste and all you do is spread it across the fake tip and the remaining surface of your nails to create an even surface. If you are new to this, I’ll admit it can be tricky, because it is not something you do every day.
However, I do believe practice makes perfect, so it might take a couple of try before you become a ‘pro’ at it. It also includes a brush, I’m not that fond of the brush, it is quite thick, it should come with flat brush instead, but that can be purchase separately. You will also need a small dappening dish to put the solution in. Preferably, a mask or open your window to air out the room because the fumes are so strong.
Overall, the whole process took longer than usual. It was definitely 1 hr 30 + , I wasn’t keeping track but I could tell something was different. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed the BTS story about how I done this.
When we were younger, there was concept about the ‘tooth fairy’ coming to visit when we lost our teeth. The one that would carefully place money underneath our pillows as a reward for losing those baby teeth. It had been so long ago, I’d forgotten about it. Until today when I had a regular check up. He reminded me that I needed to get a tooth removed.
NHS Dental care is so expensive nowadays, I can see why people would want to avoid going. They can charge huge prices to settle problems or corrections. However this all depends on what you need done and what band your treatment falls into. I remember one time reading the treatment sheet and seeing charges can go up to £350+.
Why do you think they charge so much?Leave your comments below
Also, if you receive benefits or have anything else that allows your costs to be reduced. You could be more inclined to go, because it won’t charge you as much as another person. Which ever way you look at it, it still make you second guess whether to attend your visit. Some people are not ready, because they dislike dentist surgeries and the whole experience in general. Others are affected by the costs of the procedures.
Overall, its a personal decision to be made. I think it is beneficial to go, because you have something left untreated, it can damage or affect you and your well-being in the long run. So I’d recommend getting check ups, when they write to you in the post. You don’t even need to go out of your way. Set aside a day for the trip, so you have time to yourself without anything else planned (this is helpful, just incase you have something booked). You never know how much difference the visit can make for you.
Now as adult, I’m sure we don’t believe in the tooth fairy story anymore. Sorry but this time round there are no incentives for getting your teeth taken out. (Apart from if it has been causing you problems, you’re more or less likely free from pain now). On the bright side, what you have gained is a insight into your dental health and the ways to improve it by what your dentist has instructed you to do.
It’s Sunday morning as I’m typing and these photographs were taken not long ago. I was awake for a little while and this rainbow appeared in front of me. I found it interesting how a rainbow can form on your wall. Until this point, I was contemplating how to get out of bed. I hopped out and captured this moment before it went away. It is weird how random things can be exposed to you.
I played around with ISO again. The ISO for these pictures ranged between 400-1600 (from what I remember). I was too busy trying to take the photos, because I didn’t know how long it was going to be up for. I did edit them afterwards and add a border to frame the images.
I think everyone should have a treat yourself day.
A day you spend by yourself indulging into your own bubble away from the ‘world’.
Enjoy the peaceful silence that occurs, somehow that silence feels safe. You know you’re not alone and protected at all times.
All you do is watch yourself and your steps, figure out where you’re going to take off next. We spend many of our days running around and doing stuff for other people, that we don’t always realise we are important to. You was born into this world alone (unless you’re twins, still then you’re born at separate times even if it is within seconds/minutes of each other).
You can find out a lot about yourself during that time too. It depends on what activity you’re doing or participating in. It makes you more observant of what’s going on around and others interact with each other. For example, today it was interesting to see how a boyfriend and girlfriend interact with each other. Especially, when they are talking in front of you, you get to see the distinct personalities between the both of them.
Also, body wise you can find out what’s going on there. I found out I have knots in my shoulders during a massage, so I was advised to use a tennis ball. I’m liking the idea, because I know it is going to feel nice running a tennis ball in between my shoulder blades to release the pressure held there. Your own homemade massage for one🙈🐻
Wikihow is legit the go-to website. You can find out about anything on there. Occasionally, you get some funny responses to the issue you’re looking to resolve. I don’t know whether they inject underlying humour it in or it is just my interpretation of how I am reading it in my head.
That is it for this post, I wrote it because I started typing about it and thought I might as well continue to share the rest. It was a random one, but once you get the urge to write, you tend to not want to stop unless it is completed. You get the rare times when your mind is blocked but other than that you’re good. Also, I was inspired to write after reading another bloggers’ post on their page too.
I’ve returned with a new experiment tried and tested last week. I attempted to do love hearts by free styling it with a brush from a nail tool kit. The brushes are from New Look, but I think the pattern will be easier to do with stencils. Rather than just freestyling it and hoping for the best LOL. On that subject, I think I’ve just come up with an idea to get out of that problem.
Watch the space..
As you can see above, I chose to go with red, black and white. Three good contrasting colours that are vibrant on the eye. I kept to the Valentine’s Day theme, because this post goes out on the day and to those who will be celebrating. (That makes it a tad bit late, but you may want to continue the theme after the day). Nail extension tips were added and I used gel top coat with normal nail polish. Rimmel London 60 sec was the choice for the colour polish coat, completed with base and top coat.
A manicure was done before hand to prepare the nails for the session. The whole procedure took over an hour to do. You want to take your time, so things don’t go wrong (this can’t always be avoided but you learn how to work around it). Especially, when you go over the nail bed and you have to wait for it to dry before using varnish to remove it. Last time it was mentioned, the glue I used was most effective and it’s the same one I used this time. It can be purchased on Amazon, search in ‘3D nail glue’. It allows the tips to stay on for a long period. 2 weeks is the max for me, but it would be good to try out and see how long it works for you. Everyone has different daily requirements which may affect the duration of the length it says on.
Note:The use of household gloves when washing up will help prevent from damaging your nails and keep them looking good.
I’ve done reviews before, but there were on events, products or books. So I’ve gone for different this time and decided to do a film review. This is fresh after the screening, hopefully I’ll be able to give you guys an accurate overview of what happens in the movie.
Fifty Shades Freed was released over the weekend in your local cinemas. I decided to watch it, after watching the first two films Fifty Shades of Grey and Fifty Shades Darker. The viewing started officially around 5:30pm, with it finishing just before 7pm. It ran for 105 minutes in total, which isn’t too long to be sitting there. It is enough to get all the good bits in without dragging it out, so you don’t get bored with the on-going storyline.
In this edition of the franchise, Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey get married and it follows them from their honeymoon to how they settle into married life as newlyweds. It is set in America, the underlying storyline follows Christian owning a corporation and Anastasia being a fiction editor at the company Grey owns. Also, you get to see the relationship dynamic between the couple and the intimate issues they face. It shows how people deal with and overcome imperfections or wrongs.
Another aspect of the film is the sexual content, Grey and Steele practice explicit acts. He portrays himself as a dominant man who takes charge over their bedroom antics. Whereas, she does occasionally but most of the time remains submissive. I believe she’s cool with playing that part, but would like him to be more emotionally open with her. This would ease the restrain on her comfort levels with him outside of the bedroom. I’ve noticed this has been a main issue throughout all the three films and this may be a result of Grey’s upbringing. Ana just want to reassure him that he’s okay and be present in the moment. Although, there’s a turning point which will change their lives forever..
The only difference about the film I found was there was violence in it. It was quite surprising, because it is from the genre of romance. Typically, you wouldn’t anticipate violent behavior in it. However I won’t go into too much detail, as that would spoil the action for those who haven’t watched it already. You get to see a bit more in depth into Christian’s family and family bonding session.
Overall I’d rate the film 7/10 (I’m adding an extra 2 points for the comfort levels on the seats and hospitality) . My decision is based on all the factor above I have mentioned.
Hopefully you’ll take time out of your schedules to go watch it. It is currently screening at your local cinemas and larger ones. Check out their website for prices, screening times and other options you deem important for you to know. Or just complete a Google search ‘Fifty Shades Freed’.
